That's why hybrids exist. Try Lyr 3 - more solid state than tube, but you get the spacial cues of tubes with all the power and definition of solid state. If I could have a SS amp that sounds like a tube amp, I'd be happy

If you're talking full-sized hybrid, I'd suggest the Rogue Audio RH-5. An underrated headphone amp from a very well respected audiophile company. @Wes S , @jonathan c and I(among others) drink the RH-5 kool-aid.

So it has the same weight as Meze Empyrean. Very light

Mind you, it depends on the wood. The previous standard wood (Silkwood) was the lightest. The current one is also light, my Sapele is at 469 grams with the lightest options. But even Sapele models can be as low as 440 or so. If you go for special edition woods it can actually get heavy.

True, i liked the limited African wood version util i saw their weight. Light weight is important for me, i sold Audeze cd 3f as their weight caused pain in my neck after long listening. Yes sir! I definitely drink the RH-5 Kool-Aid! Coming from a Liquid Platinum with caps modded and killer tubes, the RH-5 smokes it and it's not even close. The RH-5 is an incredible amp, that has an amazing soundstage and dynamics and paired with my VC it's a stunning combo. If you're talking full-sized hybrid, I'd suggest the Rogue Audio RH-5. Wells Audio Milo is what you’re looking for.If I could have a SS amp that sounds like a tube amp, I'd be happy
It was built to sound tube while being a full solid state amp. Plus it’ll drive your 1266 without breaking a sweat

The only downside is Milo would produce a little hiss on background when connected to Verite. Sound wise they match well though.

agree that the nonupgraded Milo have floor noises - originally I got a -20db attenuator from Garage 1217 to remedy this. You can also get the -12db Khozmo attenuator which I ended up doing since I can't how ugly the attenuator from Garage 1217 makes the Milo look. The only downside is Milo would produce a little hiss on background when connected to Verite. Really liking how the Verite pairs with the dragon, plus zero floor noise.

I know, I have Sapele. I also ordered African Blackwood and it weighs around 600gMind you, it depends on the wood. The previous standard wood (Silkwood) was the lightest. Haha i'm no longer own Milo, I think I should do -12 attenuator back when still had it. Currently running straight from TT2, cleaning my problem to search the "rabbit hole" of amplifier
