I received my Verite Blackwood yesterday after missing the shipment on Thursday. I didn't have time to listen yesterday as my daughter is sick. Finally cracked the case open and had to snap some pics with the Verite Closed Leapardwood. The ZMF team did a wonderful job as usual! Now off to burn in and listen while the baby is sleeping.
Blackwood looks good on photos but in reality? Absolutly gorgeous! No picture will ever do it justice. Congrats!

Thank you! Im definitely enjoying the Verite when I can get some time to listen. I feel like no photo can do any ZMF justice!

I love mine with rose gold, and while I don't usually like the black grills and generally go for more flashy (see avatar lol), the pics I've seen with that glossy blackwood VO with black grills just looks bad ass!

It's been interesting too despite mine weighing 613g, by far my heaviest headphones, they aren't bothering my (disc degenerated) neck at all. Mine are suede and upgraded to the crescent headband and there is just something really gratifying now putting them on and having them be grippy and cozy. At first I was torn between the pilot, co-pilot and crescent with them, but definitely now feel crescent for the win!

I know very well what you mean. Tried Audeze in the past and couldnt handle the weight or to be more precise the clamping force.

But the Blackwood monster I got? Literally nothing after hours of wear. I mean I do notice their weight but its not uncomfortable at all. Pretty sure the crescent helps alot with that, such a smart design.

Last but not least I also love the feel of Blackwood. Tried a Sapele in the past and wasnt really thrilled. The wood felt somewhat thin and very light, hence almost cheap.
Blackwood on the other hand is solid, very solid in fact. And heavy. It definitvely feels like high-quality. I imagine stabilized cans also feel like that.
