Cayin is great, especially for the price. Extremely versatile amp. I would say it's closer in sound to my receivers than it is to the Violectric, except the Cayin can do planars , whereas the receivers, like OTLs, are strictly for high impedance dynamic headphones.
Violectric is like Muhammad Ali, fast, technically superior that just dances around. Cayin is like Mike Tyson, some technical skills, but more about the visceral, KO power. Receivers are like George Foreman, old and unassuming until that raw power knocks you the hell out with a single punch.

Piety is like Ray Boom Boom Mancini. Not the greatest skills or power, but refuses to give up, all heart and doesn't realize it has no business being in this photo and frankly doesn't care either. It just punches way above it's price point
Since we are on a “sweet science” analogy roll, here is a knockout jab/cross combination: [VC LTD Ziricote & Beyerdynamic A20 (output impedance: 100 ohms); Woo WA3 is ringside.]
good day all... Here are my newest addition to my ever expanding and increasingly more strategic headphone stable. VC with Black and White Ebony. Next to my Aficionado with a pair of RCA 1932 Single Plate 2A3s. The sound is glorious. Snappy, crunchy, fast, and oh so much fun...

I'm a simple man. I see a black and white ebony ZMF and I like the post. Give em some time. The Verite takes same brain burn in to appreciate its strengths when you're coming from the more "linear" Atrium line. Great that you already like them.

For grins I bought this 2008 amp, Creek Audio OBH-11. Yup the old first edition I believe. Not modded in anyway.
How can this amp sound so good with these VC's...
Amazing.
In my DIY quest building so much stuff I was (am) going to totally rebuild this amp with better "stuff" BUT
I am really shocked at how well its doing just as it is!
