There is a suede perf Be-2, but it doesn't look like any of the solid Be-2 are on the site to order yet.I think there is a hybrid BE2, but don't quote me.
Here, here!Of course its new and folks are talking. Apparently it is a fine sounding amp. im looking forward to hearing it, but that doesnt diminish my love for my Glenn.
VC+GOTL is hard to beat.
Congrats on the VC Malevolent. They look great!!!!Here's a couple of shots of my (new) Vérité Closed Monkeypod. I really wanted the Camphor Burl, but sadly, there weren't any available units in my area.
Nevertheless, they still sound great, and they look fabulous, too!
@zach915m Thanks for crafting this wonderful headphone!
My wife took these "glamour" shots, so don't mind the colors, heh.
Me and the Auteur non-perf
I was totally the opposite. Had the chance to buy the stabilised colours from Accorn Audio when they came in stock, but love the more traditional classic wood tones. To each their own!I am personally not a massive fan of the classic, understated look of wood, but there was something about that ocean blue/green that really won me over. I also know myself well enough to know I won't be able to wait this long so this felt like a great option - super excited to receive them!
Received my VC CB yesterday and can +1 Zachs info on the solid Be-2 pads. The fit reminds me a lot of my e-MU Ebony pads which is a big score imo as I love those pads, i think they trend close enough to the Auteur pads that they can be switched in for a more easy back seat listening experience when reading or doing something other than just listening. Really enjoy them when used but the Auteurs definitely have still been winning out almost 100% of my time. Will see how things flesh out as they break in over the next 200 hours.^^^ For those interested in getting a tonally (frequency response) accurate sound from the V closed vs the fun out of your head sound the stock auteur pads provide, we just got solid Be-2 pads in. These sit nicely between the universe pads and verite solid pads for a linear sound with just enough oomph to my ears. They lend a similar sound (but with a touch more warmth) to what Herb Reichert wrote about in his Verite review when he used mostly Verite pads: https://www.stereophile.com/content...-zmf-hagerman-headphones-headphone-amplifiers
And to what he wrote about regarding the Verite in his LTA Zotl 10 review: https://www.stereophile.com/content...r-tube-audio-z10e-integrated-amplifier-page-2
If you have a wife who's willing to take such amazingly cool, "glamour" photos of your audiophile ultra-summit, best in the world kind of headphones, then.....you should keep her forever and do whatever it takes--whatever it takes*--to make her happy and keep her happy. For you, kind sir, are a blessed man among audiophiles. Here's a couple of shots of my (new) Vérité Closed Monkeypod.
