Well, if we're drawing parallels, VO vs VC, VC was more v-shaped than VO. I would wager, based on what I've read, that the same is true of AO vs AC. So, a more v-shaped Caldera? My wallet may be in danger.I'm very excited about Caldera Closed. Beyond excited really. Caldera has been my favorite headphone. I think if I could choose any tuning for a Caldera Closed it would be a bump in the mid-bass and a gentle dip in the upper treble. Like a slightly warmer version of the Caldera, but with that sub bass impact only a closed back can provide.

I
Zach was gracious enough to let me check out the pro cables when I stopped in a while back and sent home with me both to sample. I can attest that they look great, sound great, and way more flexible and user friendly than the OFC cable.I know everyone is excited about the Caldera Closed and the multitude of new LTD releases but am I the only person super excited about the Pro Cable and HiFiMan Pads?
Both are big deals for me. I love both of my HiFiMan’s and would love to get both sets of pads replaced.
@zach915m Any videos coming up with measurements on both sets of the egg shaped HiFiMan pads?
I’ve been waiting and hoping you’d make HiFiMan pads for a long time. I’ll buy both sets for sure but would love to see if there’s a big difference between either of them.

Hello, @zach915m
As always, I can only praise your work.
Some of it doesn't quite meet my personal taste, but it's perfectly fine.
Questions about the Aegis:
Is this a complete 1 to 1 build of Lordgwyn or is there still the Cayin sauce flowing in?
By that I mean transformers and capacitors, Cayin like to use their own house capacitors for example.
Or are there actually Jupiter caps like in the Diy Aegis?
Regarding Eu people, will there be an Eu version for us or just Us version for now?

Looking forward to that. For the Susvara pads I'd like to know if they're deeper than the stock Susvara pads, which are too shallow for comfort.Oh yeah sorry about that, I shot the video and will have it up this week. With measurements and all the stuff!
Very excited for the Caldera Closed, that cup design looks amazing. Finally heard the Caldera open at a meetup a few weeks ago and was taken aback at how different it sounded compared to other ZMFs, yet still has that same charm you come to expect from the line. Can't wait to check this one out one day soon!

Personally I'd be interested in a suede/vegan option for my Susvara.

We did look at bringing in Lundahls and the like, but the added cost of the amp didn't seem worth it, especially since the sound is amazing on both the DIY and production version, we will have them both back to back at Canjam so impressions can be made.
Noted!Personally I'd be interested in a suede/vegan option for my Susvara.

Just got the Hifiman Hybrid Pads in! so plush compared to stock and other aftermarket pads I've tried. Highly recommend off comfort alone but the sound is still nice, gives the XS a bit more oomf. Also Picked up a tee while I was at it
@zach915m Are any of the new ZMF pads for HifiMan designed to fit the Shangri La?

Curious if you’re hearing the loss in sub bass that the graphs are showing?Just got the Hifiman Hybrid Pads in! so plush compared to stock and other aftermarket pads I've tried. The typical perception will be an increase in sub-bass, as the boost at 40 hz and then subsequent drop-off past the linear stock pads doesn't occur until 25Hz and below on the oval pads, so most information down there will be boosted unless listening to pipe organs or whatever it is that plays all those notes at like 15 hz?Curious if you’re hearing the loss in sub bass that the graphs are showing?
