These are BEAUTIFUL! One day I will be a VC owner - good luck everyone
Tubed: Amps and Sounds Kenzie and Amps and Sounds EncoreWhat do you amp them with?
My main amp is the GSX-mini. How is the pairing? I am planning to add an Echo mk2 before too long, as well.Tubed: Amps and Sounds Kenzie and Amps and Sounds Encore
Solid State: GSX-Mini and Burson Conductor 3X Reference.
The Aeolus are not my daily drivers though. Lately I've been using Focal Clear, Ether 2 OR Aeon2 Noire (with my DAP).
With the resin sets being these woods curious if anyone knows what wood the Vahlisa is?All the wood is stabilized as well - so they all are alike a very dense, non-reverberous (prob not a word) wood. They sound very much alike a Blackwood or Ironwood to my ear, fast decay and very quick sound.
The woods in the Resin sets include, Oak, Buckeye Burl, Maple Burl, and Cherry Burl.
All of our headphones carry the warranty to the original owner only - full details of our terms are here: https://www.zmfheadphones.com/zmf-faq
What was your top VO pick?I got my first VO pick. They should make lovely contrast with the VC I picked up last year. Hopefully I won't regret any decisions once the stabilized VO sets are done.
Everything I have works well with the GSX-mini. i have one of the original production units. DACT volume control. I'm partial to the tubed units though. Both have high Z 300 ohm single ended jacks. My main amp is the GSX-mini. How is the pairing? I am planning to add an Echo mk2 before too long, as well.
The used prices don't yield much of a price break. The B Stock is definitely the way to go. The only ZMFs you see with much of a price drop on the used market have cosmetic damage. Having the warranty makes more sense to me.Without buying used from another ZMF owner, it’s hard to beat a good B-stock deal. You get the benefit of seeing the exact set you’ll be receiving and a full lifetime warranty on the driver. I’m seriously tempted even though I already own 3 ZMF’s and have very little disposable cash left!
About 1/3 of the 80 units are left, remember the earlier drops were batches of 30, and sold out in 5 minutes. If this were a batch of 30 it would have as well.Is it me or are the epoxy headphones still available?

My personal strategy is to only buy used sets that are prime examples of their respective wood type. What pushes me over the edge is when a beautiful used set comes with a lot of extras like upgraded cables thrown in.The used prices don't yield much of a price break.
