Joining the ZMF family with AO B-Stock #185!

Despite our best efforts what we're seeing is that a few Atrium Opens double sold, maybe 3 sets of the BW Ebony and/or Amboyna sets. I am not sure why this happens I think the site just gets jammed and then when two people hit order at the same time it can't quantify it.

Anyways not to worry, I have quite a stash of Amboyna / BW Ebony and anyone who got a double purchase will get their set fulfilled and we will be in communication with the options.

Unfigured just means that the wood isn't as figured and is mostly why we are denoting it B-Stock. It'll look more like typical camphor, although it comes from the same Burl we use for the more figured stuff.

Picked up my first 2 choices and some B-Stock pads. I am fortunate to be able drop a car down payment on some really nice headphones.

I cannot wait for the Bokeh Open Stabilized & LTD options next year.

Woah hey those are two of the best sets for sure! The Amboyna with some of the sap-wood in there is absolutely incredible. And I've been trying to pace myself with the Macassar ebony batch as I don't know when/if I'll ever be able to get that stuff again in headphone size. So ultra rare there!

I have lusted for a BWE headphone from ZMF. Atrium Closed, a great complement to Atrium Opens & Verite Closed.

I wanted Amboyna but figured I'd have a better shot at these. So I got these. And then checked and the AB I wanted were still available for a few mins. $650ish was saved and these are exactly what I was looking for before I knew amboyna was happening. I'm excited. I've had my Verite Closed for 2 years now and I've been hunting for this set for months. I'm happy I was able to get new headphones and support ZMF and all the coolness they create.

What does “select built” mean? I noticed they are more expensive than other B stock

I believe it means they are built to order. Using rare woods that are “B stock” for whatever reason.

This was the last of the AB caldera open to remain. I kinda like it.
