ZMF Headphone Cable Poll

With all the choices nowadays with headphone cables, thought it would be interesting to create a poll to share info on what ZMF Headphone owners are using. Listed are all the current ZMF cable choices from their website.

Some additional poll thoughts:

1. Reference the ZMF Headphone Model you own (ex. Verite, Auteur)
2. For 3rd Party Cables, reference which manufacturer / type

The ZMF has a pleasantly warm sound, a little too warm for my taste. It can benefit from a nice silver cable.

I use the Silver Widow (four strands per side) made for my LCD by Toxic Cables--it has some gold in it, plus surface and cryogenic treatment. That seems to open up the sound nicely. Have I inverted the phase? I have no idea. But the sound improves a little more than with using the ZMF silver cables.

From my experience, cables change the sound a little, sometimes for the better (OCC copper with HD-800) , sometimes for the worse (OCC silver with HD-800). It is audible, but I never experience the "huge" improvement mentioned by others. Perhaps I am lucky to have tin ears. The prices of many cables are insane. From my 35+ of experience in home audio, cables are where many snake-oil salesmen navigate and thrive. Buyer beware.

When ordering / configuring a cable, do you prefer to add a sleeve (or not)? Seems like from the photos, most are non-sleeved
