. . . Stock mesh it is for me without a second thought.
Same here with the mesh, and I am using the Lambskin pads.

Curious, which pads are you using lately? I haven't switched back to the stock Hybrid's since going all Lambskin, but I am getting the itch to try them again. . .

After using the lambskin pads for a couple of months I just switched back to the stock hybrids.

I still haven't tried swapping. Still have the stock hybrids. Don't know what the hell I'm waiting for.

It's Spectraply and it's really cool material for making speaker boxes out of and works quite well for headphones. I don't like the Merlot version so I'm going all in on the Tidal version. They'll match well on my desk with the bokeh open from an ascetic point of view a swell.

Cool and trippy, but the canary wood version with the alternative grill wins for me:

These have a very cool retro vibe going with that orange mesh behind the grill. I just don't need two of the same headphone.

Oh man. That looks gorgeous! I sat out the BO release as I wasn't a fan of the grill design. This one however is really tempting.

If the grills were swappable it would be cool if you could just buy ltd release of just the grills and swap em at will

Nice!

I take it, the Hybrid's are staying on for a minute? Which do you prefer?
Initially I had a strong preference for the lambskin pads and indeed they stayed on for a long time. I listen to a lot of music with complex, focused and punchy bass lines that extend to sub bass. The lambskin pads have a punchier, slightly more focused and dynamic sound. Bass definitely benefits from the lambskin pads. The compromise is that mids and treble becomes less airy, a little congested. Nice and dynamic as well, but due to the lack of air a bit less natural. Hybrid pads have a better balance; I really enjoy the enhanced air and naturalness that comes with the hybrids. Bass is slightly less tight than on the lambskin pads but still fine for most genres. (Bass on the suede pads just softens too much for my taste.) I think the main deciding factor between pads will be favourite music genres most of all. Lambskin could be the best choice for modern and/or electronic music while the hybrid with its better balance presents jazz or acoustic music more naturally.
