Anyone tried both these and the D9200 and able to speak to how they compare in terms of technicalities, isolation and soundstage? Appreciate they're tuned v differently.

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

I owned the D9200 briefly and listened to the Bokeh at CanJam (not the final version). Bokeh sounds a lot more natural, the Denon can sound a bit boxy. Soundstage is bigger on Bokeh, isolation and technicalities in general are on a similar level. For me Bokeh would be a no-brainer if I was after a closed back around 1K.Anyone tried both these and the D9200 and able to speak to how they compare in terms of technicalities, isolation and soundstage? Appreciate they're tuned v differently.

@zach915m, I ordered a pair of November B-stock VOs in Redwood Burl and they will be delivered in the next couple of days - can't wait!!!! This is my first pair of ZMFs despite trying most including the Bokeh at the Melbourne Hifi show recently. I have no $$ for them or a need either but desperately want a pair at the same time!! I told my wife's boss and he's thinking about it too. Do you still have 2 pairs at the introductory price, if I can look behind the sofa (couch in australia) to extract some coins?? Cheers mate!!

I know in my story I said the bass was the star of the show with the Bokeh, however I need to amend that statement. The bass is awesome no doubt, however the mids truly are magical with this headphone and have become the real star of the show for me. The balance and layering in the mids is absolutely fantastic. The euphonic texture is incredible and I feel like I can reach out and touch the notes as they float all around my head. The decay is so natural and lifelike as well, and images/notes are heard in their entirety.
I freaking love this headphone!

This is a fun one, that really shows off the Bokeh's chops.

I have several new Christmas audio toys (Audio Hekili, Phoenixcall Celest, Penon Quattro, BQEYZ Wind) to play with and now I’m like a 2 year old forgetting everything else because what I wanted wasn’t under the tree!
I am using the Hybrid Pads with the Titan Mesh, and that's where the magic happens for me.Remind me which pads and mesh you've ended up on?

Ooooh that's actually one of the few combos I have not tried yet. Right now, pretty happy with hybrid + burst with lots of Jazz, blues, and electronic, and don't like any of the combos without any mesh and have not even tried the titan mesh yet on any combo.I am using the Hybrid Pads with the Titan Mesh, and that's where the magic happens for me.
I do often long for the punch that the protein pads provide on certain genres, so my long term plan is to have a 2nd Bokeh so I would no longer have the pleasure of swapping out pads on a regular basis.

All the meshes are Titan mesh, so are you using the Solid mesh or the stock Burst mesh?I am using the Hybrid Pads with the Titan Mesh, and that's where the magic happens for me.
