ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

. . .non-locking mechanism was worth it
I am glad for the non-locking mechanism for a portable headphone. I was using the Bokeh yesterday with my RU7/Samsung S22+ combo and I sat up and walked away real quick and yanked the cable out of the headphone, instead of flinging my Dongle and Phone across the room. There is a time and a place for locking jacks, but not on a portable device, and seems like usual you have thought of pretty much everything when designing this one. :beerchug:

Is the Solid Titan Mesh included in the BOKEH RELEASE TUNING KIT the same product as the one sold in ZMF Shop's DIY section? I already have the Solid Titan Mesh, and I ordered the Bokeh along with the RELEASE TUNING KIT. I'm curious if they are the same product.

Do you have a current photo of the 4.4 cable as it looks?
Here you go.

The one in the DIY is for open backs as the grille size thay covers the driver is slightly different. I'll have the closed headphone versions in the diy section soon.

These are $1,242 Canadian plus tax and shipping. That is with the tuning kit option. I really want to get these but I just splurged on a used Auteur on CAM. They should arrive tomorrow. I don't have any closed back headphones right now. Just Aeolus and HD600.

I think the shopping cart may not be displaying the add-on kit price properly as the Bokeh on its own is $1242 CAD currently.

I only got 1 set of hybrid pads (so +$60 USD which is $83 CAD) and with that and dhl shipping ($53 CAD) it came to $1377 (exchange made it $1 cheaper Friday!) before it's gonna get taxed at the border.

It's finally time for a little comparison to my VC's (daily driver), off the 300B's. This should be fun, and more to come. . .

That amp looks amazing. I only dream of being able to afford something like that. I have the Feliks Audio Echo Mk2 and Singxer SA-1 amps right now.

Here you go.

Nice-looking stock cable. Good sleeves. Is it microphonic at all?

Did @zach915m mention what kind of cables these are? OFC? SPC? OCC copper?

Wondering if I should order aftermarket cables for the Bokeh, and what would synergize with it best.

It is a very manageable and lightweight cable and the microphonics are at a minimum and are not an issue at all. If you rub or tap on the cable you hear it, but during normal usage it's flawless.

Not sure what type of copper it uses, but I am sure @zach915m will chime in on that.

New stock cable sleeve is :fire: Not sure if I want the titan solid mesh pre-installed or just on the side...I suppose it depends on how easy it is to swap.

OKOKOK I'll get more wire with that sleeving.

It's OFC, just a smaller strand count than the shielded OFC wire.

Will my Focal cables work with these 3.5mm connectors? They are TRS instead of TS so I’m assuming it should be ok.
