Macassar Ebony…

I may be doing this option for the VC’s. Love my camphor burls but always been a big fan of heavily figured wood and the Macassar Ebony’s all look insane with their figuring. Still waiting on the pics to go up to see if one catches my fancy

I am cursed (more or less.) Spent my Atrium money on a Folkvangr. The fund won't refill until the fall. Aaaaaaaahhhhhh !

The good news is Folkvangr is limited edition....Atrium is not. The wait is a huge PITA, but well worth nit in the end.

Zach would confirm later but from my experience I confidently bet we can always change any configuration elements later. Combinations shown in the webpage must be what Zach or ZMF team thought best looking, not a fixed one.

I was watching this video last night. William really likes the Atrium. One thing he was gushing about was the soundstage, which he says is one of the widest and deepest he’s heard. I personally find the soundstage on Atrium to be good but not amazing. Maybe I’m listening to the wrong tracks? Any suggested tracks to show off the soundstage are welcome.

On page 20 of this thread many of us began receiving the Atrium after the first release and we posted our initial impressions with different tracks that seemed to highlight the staging and holographic effects.

Goodness, the craftsmanship is amazing. I tend to prefer the natural wood look but the stabilized blue/orangish ones are tempting me as a FL Gator alumni.

Sorry guys, we can't make any changes to the headphones once they're built. Not only would it delay shipping significantly, but the possibility of damaging the beautiful cups by doing a chassis swap would really slow us down if we messed something up.

The one choice you will have is to have suede or not as we are sensitive to vegan needs, but you have to all all vegan or all leather.

Got cold feet lol decided to wait until the Atrium Closed is out and then when I like an LTD wood/stabilized set I'm gonna get it and match up to the VC . Figured it's a better use of $$ since I already love my Camphor Burl VC's

No worries! Some day maybe we can try to have a custom shop where we can do really particular catered stuff. For delivery time right now this seems to work best.

The Atrium is just so so good. For my preferences, with lamb BE2 pads and Aeolus mesh they just absolutely nail timbral balance, tonal weight, and micro-dynamics with almost best in class imaging and macro-dynamics and are close enough to neutral (my only small complaint). I also don't quite understand the common complaint of less detail compared to other flagships. I pretty much disagree with that assessment but maybe my ears suck.

It's been trading blows with Utopia, my 5-year reference, which has comfortably slayed all other dynamic and planar flagships during ownership. After several months of owning Atrium I'm pretty shocked to feel like it's probably going to dethrone the Utopia. I honestly thought that day would never come for me.

It's on the Mount Rushmore of headphones, IMO. I'm also no ZMF fanboy. This is the first ZMF I've truly liked and I've owned all the open models and the VC.
