The SPDIF has a "noise filter" in the receiver. It's called a PLL.

The I2S does not. So which is really better?!

But the cable is usually shielded so it won't pick up the noise. I2S seems much better than SPDIF

I'm planing to buy soon another D2.5a and also a D2.5c to compare.

Once I pluged the AD board in my D2.0, my old CS board went to the junk yard.

But you need to do at least the de-capacitor mod.

Looks like they've turned it into a sort of a 'Hub' where you can plug in all of your sources, to compete with the Beresford TC-7510. Looks pretty cool though. I'm sure the TC-7510 Mk IV will be better though, and the customer service from Beresford is probably waaay better than Zhaolu's. This is all IMO of course.

Edit: The nuclear CS4398 digital-analog conversion heart device looks really cool though!

Jerome

from what I have read, the SACD standard does not allow decoding by external DACs.

something about copy protection....

Can the TG really do a 32/192khz sample rate? Is that just the internal processing bit rate or is it actually a true 32 bit DAC if you use the TG input?

Those translation softwares

. "Nuclear heart" in Chinese is the equivalent of the word "core" in English.

Where in Europe could I get such a TG-link PCI (?) card?

What tweaks/mods could I apply to the D3?
