Some upgrades:
- inputs: 2x SPDIF, 1x TG-link (what's this?), 1x optical
- outputs: L/R RCA outputs
- no more headamp module and headphone output
- no volume control (from the pics)
- Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC
- D3 will memorize recent user setting. For example: User sets toslink as input, thus the D3 will use toslink as input upon next startup.

side note: sorry for the lousy translation

Thanks for the tip!
Audible improvements?
I see socketed opamps?
So same kind of analog output?

Well, from the chart it seems that TG has no jitter

We should see.

Huh? Let me guess, you wanted to see an AD chip instead of the CS one? Apart from that I can't see any obvious downgraded things.

Edit: Duh... You did say 2.5A...

But that's huge. AD chip is the better DAC chip. Perhaps the AD chip is an option.

That TG connection is very exciting, though. According to the diagram, TG connection skips the spdif input receiver (unlike coax, toslink), which can only mean one thing: Direct I2S input!!!

BTW, other I2S DAC's often use the ethernet-type connectors for I2S input also.

This probably means Zhaolu transport (with I2S output) can't be too far away, and this also means one could likely use one of Empirical Audio's USB-to-I2S converters to drive Zhaolu D3!

If D3 has AD DAC option, I will buy it and send it to Ori again..
