Yer we get charged a lot more here in the UK. There are numerous places in the UK selling creative sleek in the UK for around £190-200, which is about about $380 so that ebay 360 dont sound such a raw deal now does it
A new colour ipod 20 gig is like £190, $365 ish and an iaudio x5 20 gig is £250, $470 ish.

Note: i guessed the exchange rate in my head give or take 10 dollars so dont tell me my prices were a couple of dollars out
I just got off the phone with Creative and they're saying the Sleek will most likely be available in the midle of September.
I asked about pricing and they were unable to give me any info. I'm guessing the 20GB unit will be $280 give or take a few bucks... I think I might have to wait until September and get the Sleek!!!
Though I was reading on the Creative web site forums and a few people posted with the Sleek experience...one guy had the Sleek in his pocket which had a little bit of dirt in it and he said a lot of it got behind the screen...that sucks. Is this a problem with a lot of players and this guys shouldn't have done that or should the Sleek not be doing that?

The technology is not old, but compared to its main competitors (Apple, iRiver, Cowon), the Creative Zen Sleek is missing a lot of features that other players have. They include the following:
- Color screen
- View photos and album art
- Video playback
- Support for a wide variety of codecs: OGG, ASF, FLAC, AAC
- Crossfading
- Gapless playback
- Line in recording
- Line out playback
Creative is getting closer. Add a color screen (got to have one to keep up with the Jones - it's a big selling point even if only a few really need it), support for more codecs and add a lineout and you've got a winner!
Though, I think the biggest thing creative has going (based on wide spread opinion) is its supperior sound quality.
After all, it is music that MP3s provide and Creative seems to manage to do the best job at producing it. Everything else is icing on the cake imo...I'm just going for the best quality music.
Creative is known for it's sound quality, but it is by no means superior nor is it the best. Additionally, your not going to get the best if your using a lossy codec.

In your opinion, what's the best? Cause I'm interested!!
anyone outside the U.S. own one of these? Id like to see how they compare up to the Zen Micro as far as features. I think they're basically the same....however, are they buggy, freeze up often, or good solid player? Just any insight, anyone..
