Thought "Fearless" starring Jet Li was really well done. Kung Fu Hustle is always good for some laughs as well.

I pretty much covet anything with Jet Li in it. The old and the new.

Essentials are the Once upon a Time in China movies

Some other good ones are with a thai actor named Tony Jaa
Ong Bak: Thai Warrior
Tom Yum Goong (Released in the US as The Protector)

Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, Game of Death, and I liked Return of the Dragon as well with the Lee/Norris coliseum fight.

Give Ong-bak a go! Normal martial flick plot and acting quality....but OMG the fighting, virtually full-contact and no camera/cgi trickery.

Otherwise, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Daggers.

Jackie Chan et al are a given of course.

+1! "What the Hell is a Dim Mack?"

I'm also fond of Hero but thats a wu xia film. I didn't find Kung Fu Hustle funnay at all, but loved Shaolin Soccer.

Kung Pow: Enter The Fist is also chock-full of great lines.

"Eenie meenie minie moe, I wonder where my fist will go?"
"swinging the chain.... swinging the chain."
"Birdy birdy birdy tiger tiger"
"Water! I'm getting wet!"
"THATS A LOT OF NUTS!"

Best: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - told the Star Wars story better and in five less films.

Worst (whose title I can remember): GymKata - "The skill of gymnastics, the kill of karate."

Have seen a lot of martial arts films, but in most the story is so thin they're like p()rn - you watch once and that's it.
