Your favourite James Bond actor?

There are 22 official James Bond movies.

Who is the best (not necessarily your favourite) James Bond actor?

Yor favourite 007 movies?

The inspiration for this poll was provided by the following.

Quote:

Sir Sean Connery

... 'Dr. No' (1962) changed all that: Sean Connery is James Bond', the publicity announced,
and the world's box-offices couldn't have been more pleased. Nearly 40 years later he remains
the most popular incarnation of Ian Flemming's snobbish macho hero, though Flemming did not
originally approve casting. ....
he became Britain's most successful film star - and export. ...

and

Quote:

'Bond' films

... A series of glamorous action adventures which became the most successful
franchise in British cinema history.
..... their very longevity makes the series a sigificant production achievement
in their own right. ....

I picked Sean Connery...the original and best.

That said, this new Bond, Daniel Craig, has done a nice job picking up the reins.

Favorite movies: Dr. No, Thunderball, Goldfinger, The Man With The Golden Gun, Casino Royale (the new one), and The World Is Not Enough

Moore all the way! Sans View, in which he was simply way too old

I liked his interpretation of the character far more - a much more suave, sophisticated Bond than the rest

I <3 Pierce Brosnan, but I know it's probably an unpopular position to stake out... I didn't like George Lazenby much, but On Her Majesty's Secret Service was very good (and very different). But by and large I've thought they were all good and each had different takes on the character.

For me, it's a tie between Moore and Connery. Both had enough movies to add their own twist to it.
I'd probably take Moore, the first Bond I got used to, and he seems the only one that could actually be a spy. British, understated etc.

I do like the rawness Craig added to the series.

The others have not sticked to my mind.

Connery deserves recognition for originating the role and building the franchise - he was good. But I've always loved Moore the most. I grew up watching his movies and the humor was always the carrying point. Lately, Bond films have taken an unfortunate turn towards the deadly serious. That's not what Bond is about. The setup is ridiculous. A spy so famous that everyone knows who he is isn't a particularly effective spy. It's better to treat the franchise as the spoof that it is.

To me Daniel Craig has no class at all and looks like a member of a Russian mafia.

He should drink

and not Martinis in the 007 movies.

Compare his looks to Vladimir Putin. They look almost identical.

I would still prefer Putin as the 007 agent because of his experince in the KGB as a real agent.

This is totally news to me, I thought that OHMSS was one of the worst Bonds ever.

To contribute: Connery, IMO, he set a standard that very few later films or actors have lived up to.

I have a childhood fondness for Roger Moore, and it's to Moore's portrayal that I attribute Ronald Reagan's brilliant compliment that James Bond is a great American.

But Alan Partridge favors Roger Moore. That should suggest something.
The grand finale was 'An Audience with Roger Moore', held in a special Roger Moore room. No expense was spared on props. Alan had a gold finger, a third nipple and even a white cat.

I'm on the side of the devils who think that Daniel Craig is a fine Bond. The more nasty, brutish, and short he keeps it, the happier I'll be. Spyworld is thuglife.
