sorry just couldnt stand Pierce i think he was terrible. Sean Connery was 2nd best to me. Maybe its because ive never been a huge fan of the Bond movies and the last 2 were the only ones worth watching for me.

I think Brosnan was short changed by the writers and directors during his turn at the wheel. that being said, my favourite bond is the one not yet cast....Clive Owen. I think he would be a modern Connery in the role...Daniel Craig looked like he was sucking a lemon during the last file (yes, I know that was ANGER!)

The last two were terrible. Hang your head in shame. In fact all bonds past Goldeneye have been turkeys.

Clive Owen was offered the role of Bond but declined.

I thought the two most recent are on of the five good bonds (and imo the best thus far). My view is skewed though as i'm a fan of the books not movies, and Daniel Craig's bond is by far the closest bond to the books we have seen.

There are 22 official James Bond movies.

Who is the best (not necessarily your favourite) James Bond actor?

Yor favourite 007 movies?

Tough choices because I feel each actor brought a significant piece of the essence of James to the roles. Overall I voted Brosnan because I feel he presents Bond the way Ian really meant him to be. I will always love Connery. Without him, I don't think we would have a James Bond today.

My favorite JB? All of them! I wouldn't have missed any of them.

My favorite movies? Thunderball, Dr. No and Golden Gun.

He is awful in Quantum Solace though... But well everything is crappy about that movie.

I am not a big bond fan... Casino Royale being my favourite which I guess is not that much bond. Bourne is much cooler and more believable as a character.

Otherwise yes Clive Owen is always cool. Robbie Williams would be interesting as well. He certainly have the chick factor lol

QFT. Having also read the books and enjoyed them, I too have to concur that Connery and Craig have demonstrated a Bond closer to that portrayed by Fleming in writing, than any of the other actors ever have. I also feel that Brosnan could have done some good stuff with Bond if the plots for his four movies weren't as terrible as they were. Goldeneye was actually alright and, while the plot was dumb, I can never get enough of Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies, but The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day were just awful.

Obviously, I was just kidding!

We all have different preferences and tastes.

By the way Daniel Craig is not even on the Craig's list!
Ha, ha, ....

But look carefully at his face again and again:

I've never read the books, but I would like to - are the books more serious (like Daniel Craig) or are they more tongue-in-cheek (like Roger Moore)? Is the action serious or silly?

Literally the perfect combination of Craig and Connery in the novels. The tongue-in-cheek Moore and the pun-tastic Brosnan are nowhere to be seen.
