Voted for blue. The least irritating colour if the LED is too bright in the dark. Would it be too complicated to make power-on indicating LED´s brightness depending on the light conditions in the room?

Blue seems to be the latest fad.
Of course, one LED (actually 3 in one case) that will always keep up with the latest fad is RGB. It can turn just about any color you want!

I got some led's that are more of a softer sea blue that are very nice

I would say Blue and Purple. There's some very nice purple (UV) LED's from Allelectronics that look great.. The girlfriend has really fallen for the purple ones and now wants a black millett hybrid with purple lighting the tubes (hopefully the UV won't cause any problems...)

I love white LEDs, not for use as indicators but just in general. They are like mini fluorescent lights, so cool

purple. it's like a blue that's not irritatingly bright even when it is bright. and best part, those things produce a lot of UV light, more so (relatively speaking) than blue

I go with hyper red (640nm), look great in brushed Al holders. Used to like blue, but now not so sure... Quite like bright green as well

Amber or Blue. I like mine super-bright.

I don't do much DIY audio stuff (used to make CMoys long time ago), but I still use them for other electronics stuff (I doing some light electronics engineering stuff at my high school).
