Just wondered how many cheeseburgers you guys normally eat in one go and what was your personal record?

I don't get into a city much these day but when I do I always pop into MacDonalds for a few cheeseburgers....... I usually buy 7 of them and eat them in the car on the way home. Well today they had a special offer of a "double cheeseburger" for only 99p ($1.80) each so I bought 7 of them and ate them in the normal way but must admit I didn't feel like eating dinner when I got home..... those things are deceiving, in effect I ate an extra seven hamburgers (minus rolls)

I'm not a fat person, far from it, but one thing I do like is a cheeseburger. My favourites were WIMPY back in the seventies when they cooked them to order, those things were awesome and Macdonalds are nowhere near as good as the "traditional" WIMPY (not the crap WIMPY churn out these days)

Anyways, I digress, I remember my Hamburger record vividly as I was involved in a burger duel with a French chef I used to be friendly with. This guy was about 5 foot 6 tall and as skinny as a rake so I thought I'd out eat him no probs as I'm 6 foot 4 (not fat) so I figured my stomach would be larger than his.

I managed the first 4 big Macs no problems at all. It was then onto 4 cheeseburgers which I also managed but was starting to feel a bit full. I could only manage a further 3 standard Hamburgers before declaring I couldn't eat any more.

Now, not only did Christian (the French chef) eat 4 big macs, 4 cheeseburgers and 4 hamburgers he added insult to injury by ordering a further 4 Big Macs and he ate them like a savage that hadn't been fed for weeks! To polish it off he downed a few litres of Coca cola.

I don't quite know why I'm sitting here typing all this or what point I'm trying to make but those seven double cheeseburgers I ate today are settled on my stomach like a lead weight and it's reminded me of my burger duel with the French Chef.....

I'd be interested to learn how many hamburgers / cheeseburgers the average head-fier eats when they go into town.

Sorry mate,

That's like Martian language to me, I live in the UK and all we have here are Macdonalds, Burger King or WIMPY. There are a few homegrown specialist burger vendors but none near me. The alternatives to MacDonalds in the UK are burger vans situated in lay bys and industrial estates... some of them are superb but most are made from horse meat fried in whale fat.

"white castle" is that the name of a burger? sounds more like a stately home

Best quotation ever. Hands down.

I see someone has already "abused" the poll claiming he/she eats 20+ hamburgers in one sitting. This is a serious poll and whoever they are is either telling porkies, a super burger eater or a Head-Fier who requires worming.

Please come forward if you genuinely pack away 20 cheeseburgers at one sitting....... l'd like to shake your hand (If I can negotiate a path via your gut)

Seriously, I take it these are mini burgers? how do they compare in weight and girth to the MacDonalds double cheeseburger? Girth isn't that important but can you weigh one the next time you're in the White Castle? Is it a bouncy castle?

About 3 from McDonald's but I can always squeeze in a 4th if prompted. Years ago, I used to go to White Castle and it was no big deal to drop 8 to 10 sliders down the chute... and they don't call 'em sliders for nutin!
