5 most recent CD purchases (with one or two sentance review of each :)

Amon Tobin "Supermodified"
Trippy, ambient dark techno. Great for my Infinity Kappa car audio system.

Dave Matthews "Some Devil"
Perfect. Acoustically, lyrically, spiritually, perfect. The acoustic version of "Gravedigger" gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

Mum "finally we are no one"
If you like Sigur Ros, make sure you get this one. Emotional.

Sigur Ros "Agaetis byrjun"
By the way, it's pronounced: SEH-ear ROSE "OW-guy-tis BEER-un"
Now that you know, go buy the album. You won't regret it.

Darude "Rush"
Best techno/dance I've heard in over a year.

Most of this is stuff that the majority of you would either dislike or have not heard, but this thread would suck pretty hard if we all posted the same 5 CDs anyway...

Acumen Nation - Transmissions From Eville
Arch Enemy - Anthems of Rebellion
Hellsing - OST1 - Raid
Contra - OST
Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side

Not all recent stuff, but I just became employed again recently so i'm sorta playing catchup =^^=

Actually, I'm curious about that Acumen Nation. Please report after you've spent some time with it.

I've always loved Acumen Nation, and i'd heard this CD before on occassion but only just now got around to buying it any really giving it a listen. After the time i've spent with it I would say that Transmissions from Eville could quite possibly be their best CD, despite being one of their earlier efforts. Its heavy, energetic, and quite talented.

Its an amazing CD, and well worth the price (i found a used copy on half.com for about $5). Though, your liking for it may depend on how you feel about heavy industrial/metal type stuff.

If you have any way of doing so, i'd say give it a test listen sometime.
