The Earlies! Yeah, that is a very cool album. Seems like it's been around for a long, long time, but I just saw that it finally got released in the US a couple months ago. A buddy of mine in the UK sent me a preview copy well over a year ago, and your post reminds me I need to pick up a "real" one now. Bet you love it. They have a pretty unique and endearing sound, with some nice electronics mixed with acoustics and all. Kind of like Mercury Rev's Deserter's Songs. They also backed up and produced Micah Hinson's debut. Great stuff. Sarah Lowes has a very nice voice. Was just talking to DLeeWebb about the Hinson disc and I think he bought a copy. Not sure what he thinks of it yet but it was one of my favorites last year. I think it also was released in Europe in 2004 but not until the middle of 2005 in the US.

Spaceage! Bet you could come up with some pretty cool avatars for that one, especially if you're a fan of cheesy science fiction

Yes, I really love The Earlies album. I felt so guilty about pulling a song off for a CD comp because the album flows so beautifully.

Or God Lives Underwater would make a good avatar too. I have that LP and it's good but haven't played it in forever. Life In The So-Called Space Age
