Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin [2014 remaster]
 

I've never been a fan of Led Zeppelin despite trying hard and owning nearly all of their output. I like Achilles Last Stand and Ten Years Gone, but that's about it. Of course there's Stairway to Heaven, but it isn't the holy grail of rock for me like it seems to be for a lot of people. I recall their debut having a certain charm to it so I decided to pick up the regular LP and deluxe CD edition of the new remasters to see if Led Zeppelin might eventually find its way into my life.
 

Opeth - Heritage
 

When this album came out I didn't came much for it initially. However over the couple of years that have passed it has slowly grown on me and now I think I would say it's made its way into my current top three Opeth albums. I think it might even have the potential to become my fave album of theirs if it still continues to gradually grow on me. The vinyl was a must for me at this point. Looking forward to the group's next effort with interest.

I recently heard talk of Agalloch coming out with a new record but didn't know when exactly. While visiting my local records store yesterday I noticed the album among the recent releases and naturally grabbed it since Agalloch's previous effort Marrow of the Spirit is one of my favorite albums and the previous two discs did also get quite a bit of playtime once upon a time, although I've now grown sort of tired of them by this point.

Keiichiro Shibuya - ATAK000+
 

Ever since hearing Shibuya's "THE END" opera and "for maria" solo piano album he's definitely been one of my favorite artists. This "+" release is a remaster of his first album release ATAK000. Without hearing more than a couple-second snippet this album seems far more experimental and demanding, but Mr. Shibuya earned my trust with "for maria" so I look forward to hearing this earlier work of his in its (hopefully) newfound sonic glory.

I love the game so much. Even to this day I get emotional whenever I play it. Pop music isn't normally my thing, but the music selection in this game is apart from a couple of songs incredibly solid. Several have most certainly become my new favorites.
 
 
Isao Tomita - Symphony Ihatov
 
I got the hybrid SACD release a bit earlier this year and really fell in love with this symphony after hearing it a couple of times. This recently released Blu-ray recording was a no-brainer for me.
