Squeek!
OK, so I can't help stopping into CD warehouse while I'm out on Fry Street. I'm friendly with the manager there, so I always stop in and say hi when I see her. Also, this time of year, 'good finds' constitute a full 50% of the used bin. The wonders of having a record store across the street from an arts/music college, there, I tellya. Anyways, I'm sure my mom is going to give 'em an angry call saying not to let me in the store anymore:
Steve Burns - Songs for Dustmites (another stolen album I'm replacing)
Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See
Dinosaur Jr. - Without a Sound
Weezer - Pinkerton (had most of the songs from my napster days in the dorm. Decided to make good today.
)
Thanks for the info as always, Sir W. You are a walking dictionary. You aren't actually one of those web-surfing, info gathering military project robot AI thingamajigs like in those crazy aneemays I like, are you? Cuz we gotta talk more if you are
edit:
Oh yeah! I saw three copies of Gold Afternoon Fix in the bargain bin. There seemed to be 2 variations on the packaging. One was more art oriented, the other just had a track listing on the back. Both had the same cover I think. Is one of them rare, or was there just a repackage at some point? Also, since I was too young to have critical taste in music in the 1980's, I don't actually know many of bands to check out. Any recommendations? I dig the hell out of New Order and Madness. And Peter Schilling. Well, and The Church as well. Also have an Echo and the Bunnymen LP that I have admittedly not spent proper time with (bad turntable from last apartment).
