Whenever I talk about headphones with my dad he will be usually say something like "listen son, till you get a real set of high end speaker, you will no longer like headphones"

What amp/DAC he uses for the HD650? XD

He also has a mid-fi speaker setup and didn't see the point of headphones until I let him listen to my HD25 hooked up to my DX50...convenient sound with reasonable quality!

He's using a Mytek Digital Stereo 192 DSD-DAC and a cheap HK$1380 Chinese amp designed for the HD6x0s.

  On my opening tab on firefox, 5 out of 9 pages is about headphones or audio. A lot of duplicates, though.

My top four in order, Youtube, ebay, audiogon, head-fi... All four used for exploring my audio pursuits.

Oh boy. You know you're an audiophile when you finish writing detailed impressions of a headphone at 2 AM, and when you go to class later that day and your professor is talking about transparency [of the court system in China], all you think about is the lack of transparency of the headphone you were writing about earlier. >.>
 
You know you're an audiophile when you're enjoying a nice beverage in a restaurant and upon seeing someone walk by with headphones outside, you immediately stop everything you're doing to stare at the headphone in order to identify them. V-MODA Crossfade M-100 sighting!

YKYAAW you spent 3 hours changing out your speaker wire from 16 gauge to 10 gauge and shortening the wire run from 10 feet to 5 feet, for better sound of course.

Finding myself actually trying to rationalize weather to purchase the dx 50 or purchase groceries for my kids to eat. The kids won....but it wasn't a easy decision. LOL!!!
