I have that effect when I listen to my tv speakers instead of turning on the stereo. Not only are they very bad, the tv has a self resonating frequency somewhere in the male voice range.

Titanium isn't that useful in construction unless you need the weight to strength ratio or just want to willy wave. It's not some magical uber metal.

You know you're an audiophile when you spend all night searching for ideas on what headphone stand to buy... then realize you're broke. 
Those Sieveking stands look amazing though...too bad they cost more than all of my headphones combined.

The engineer and metallurgist in me says amen to that.
 
That said, an anodized titanium stand would look awesome.
