I bought a pair but they where not comfortable on my ears at all so unfortunately I have to sell them, although I really liked the sound. Maybe I have strange ears.

Hey there, while I haven't done any extensive research to find whether or not there are over-ear pads that fit, I can confirm that the HPH-200 uses standard Sony pads that you find on models like the ZX-100. If you find any pad compatible with the ZX100, it will fit on the HPH-200's. I swapped mine out for leather ones, as I found the stock fuzzy ones itchy to my ears. The leather is much more comfortable for longer listening periods.

An example of compatible pads: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-FC700-ATH-FC707-Replacement/dp/B00R1JF9RW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424716153&sr=8-1&keywords=ear+pad+replacement

I've just been looking for other ear pads and found some alternatives, should these fit.

The ZX100 and HPH-200 pads are 70mm, so I assume whatever pads are near 70mm in diameter with a stretchable flange like you see in the ones you linked, I assume will work just fine. Those second ones you linked look so comfortable maaaaan.

So I bought some pleather or what ever it's called ear pads but unfortunately it changed the sound quite a lot, and not for the better. More closed in and to much bass. These ones.

Why on earth did Yamaha decide to stop making these?  For their dumb beats clones?

I just received mine in the mail and at first the bass was a little boomy, but after a few hours, it's opening up already.  These sound really good.

Hello.

I recently got a pair of these based on this thread actually :)

So far I enjoy them, both comfort and sound is nice even though I'm torn between these and my pair of sr80i.

One thing I didn't notice until today, my pair is branded HPH-200P
Anyone have an idea what the P could mean?

Regards, Jorgen.

Just picked up a pair of hph-150's on sale and I must say they seem to be just as impressive as the hph-200. They look quite similar and are open backed however not quite as open as the 200 by the looks, the plastic grills only look semi open but they still manage to maintain quite an open and spacious soundstage for a small on-ear headphone. From my initial impressions they have a bit more kick in the low end and a bit more sparkle up top compared to the 200. Great clarity and tonality for a sub $100 can and overall very musical and enjoyable to listen to. I was planning to pick up something like a pair of Grado sr60's for a cheap carry round headphone but I think these compete very well for their price.

Just ordered a pair of the Yamaha's,I wonder how they would stand up against the Beyerdynamic dtx910. Just curious.

I hope you like them. I've never tried the 910's but they do look more comfortable than the 200's.

Might pick these up in white since they are cheaper. Anyone know where to get the Velour pads in black for cheap? Thanks.
