hello people, i was wondering if there are anyone owning either xin reference amp with k701 or with se530, i want to know how both phones performs on the xin amp. i guess i am particularly interested in how the mid details and highs will be improved, thanks
I tried the Reference with dennyl's K701's for a short time over the summer and it did a very nice job with them, problem is that I didn't really like the K701 sound all that much, at least not from that short audition.
My Reference did a fine job with my 701s, but they were not my cup of tea either, so I sold them and are staying with my Sony F-1s and HD650/Revelations.
The Reference also drives both of them just fine. The Sony is very efficient, the HD650 similar to the AKG in efficiency.
