You can use it with IEMs of course. Low gain is perfect, and even mid-gain with some power-hungry IEMs. With all BA sets, you might have some very faint background noise, but you don’t notice it anymore while playing music.

I'm running mostly iems and my Xduoo XD05 Pro is on Eco mode, does not run hot at all.
The golden thingy is Rocoon UFO grounding made by a company in China. They are rarely known outside of China. I bought it from their official store in Taobao.

Can you buy that Rocoon on AE as well? What improvements do grounding plugs give? Last time I read something about grounding was AmericanSpirit's post.

It's does makes a difference and it's quite audible, darker background, better instrumental separation, slightly more bass.
Interesting ! I could not find anything on google based on your description (except some Racoon and UFO landing).

Rocoon UFO if plugged into a unused plug, will provide grounding for the device. You would expect darker background, better instrumental separation, slightly better bass quality etc.
They got produce a device specifically for Sony WM1ZM2/1AM2 series to clean up the output signal.
