My X3 is even stuck on welcome screen for few months already... need to find Win7 to flash it back to factory default.
I was not really used it for long time after I got LG V20. In turn, I also rarely used ear/head-phones directly to LG after having Qudelix 5K. Use LG only for BT transport to 5K. The BT dongle is really very good nowadays.

Hi, would love some help. X3 won't boot. Have tried resetting and reinstalling rockbox(using Win7). Disconnected battery. Still no bananas.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Interesting. I note the new FiiO X7 uses AD8397 chips for its amplifier stage.

This photo (credit Amaury Pouly) from the Rockbox Wiki page shows both the LMH 6643 and OPA1612 (the later you mention is now being experimented with an AAD8620 chip replacement):

To upgrade Xduoo X3:

LPF: OPA2107
AMP (V): LM833 (ST make!)
AMP (A): AD8397 (or keep as is)

Your thank me later.

I have no idea. They have fixed many things though, I just wish the X3ii sounded half as good as the original rockboxed X3.

It doesn't? I have a lot of catching up to do!

I have the original rockboxed X3, but the headphone jack is degraded (ie not very good connection). I've considered getting another X3 because I really like the form of it (buttons etc). But before I do, I'll have to check out what you're saying about the X3ii.

It's very easy to fix the headphone jack, as long as you have a soldering iron. Just use a lot of solder & heat those legs up real good.

I do have one. But sadly I don't understand what needs to be done!
