JK1,

Give me a break.  Even if you had flipped just a page or two back you would have seen folks discussing Rockbox installation issues.  The search function usually defaults to relevant posts in decending (meaning newest to oldest) order.  For someone who has been around here as many years as you have, you're implying that your search abilities and recent page reviews are negligible at best.  And in fact had you actually conducted a search and were overwhelmed, so stating with your query would certainly gone a long way to coloring your query appropriately.

And your opening query asked more that just if Rockbox had been implemented.  You questioned the status of xDuoo regarding firmware updates.  Again a search for firmware updates would have easily answered that question.  You then could have followed up asking if anyone knew the status of xDuoo factory efforts.

And yeah the due diligence was tongue in cheek because the effort involved should have been a matter of minutes if not seconds.
+1

Re:  the speed error issue.

I've made measurements of some DAPs I have here, using the input clock counter of a Levell function generator I have.

I created a 1000Hz test tone file on my PC. Then I connected the counter to the direct signal out of the PC, for reference. It measured exactly 1000Hz

One by one, I put the test tone file in a few DAPS and got these readings:

XDuoo X3 stock firmware v1.1         =      990.5Hz

XDuoo X3 Rockbox                        =    1000Hz

XDuoo X2 stock firmware v1.7         =     999.5Hz

Clip ZIP stock firmware                  =    1002.5Hz

Clip ZIP Rockbox                          =     1000.5Hz

FiiO X3II                                       =     1000Hz

AGPtEK IMP                                =     1000.5Hz

AGPtEK  B03                               =     1000.5Hz

RUIZU  X02                                   =     1000.5Hz

RUIZU  X06                                   =      998Hz

Great work, any reason you own all of these? Just for fun?

I am loving Rockbox a hell of a lot over the stock firmware. I have noticed that my music is playing quite fast. Just a tad faster than my iPod and PC. Anyone else notice this?

For those of you wondering whether or not you should do this.. DO IT! The UI is MUCH faster than the xDuoo firmware and the sound (possibly placebo) seems to be more clear and refined.

Guys, I was charging my X3 on RB, I accidentally long press the power button of the X3, then after a while, the USB icon from the X3 disappeared. I unplugged the X3 from my wall socket. I then started the X3 in RB mode and it showed "scanning files" . I then proceeded to replugged the X3 into my power socket and now the USB ICON is on while charging.

Is this normal?

I have read the clip menu and it mentions

 3.3. USB Charging
To charge your player over USB, hold any button while plugging it in. This will prevent it from connecting to your computer and let you continue to use it normally. Your player must already be in Rockbox for this to function.

Note: Be aware that this button may still perform its normal function, so it is recommended to use a button without harmful side effects, such as Select.

So can I safely assume that I "turned-off" my player WHILE charging?
*note, I turned off my X3 before charging. If I can turn off my player while charging, does this mean that RB is in a state of "power on" when charging?

@XVortex can you kindly explain?
Thank-you

I honestly don't know as I've made it a practice to charge in the default factory v1.1 mode just as I use it for mSD card file management.
