Mine rattled from day one. It's just the battery not being taped good enough. If it bothers you too much you could get  a 0.9,1 mm (not sure what was the exact size) hex key (there are like $2-3 sets with generic hex keys around 1 mm and one of them should work) to open it up and use a double sided tape or something

Perfect! Thank! :)

i also installed RB on my X3... worked flawlessly... one queston though, does the rockbox port correct the pitch issue by itself, or do i have to adjust the pitch correction provided by rockbox accordingly?

The issue was corrected by proper calculations for the DAC frequency in CPU PLL.

I am somewhat concerned that you have been distributing all this open source software without access to the source code.  Remember rockbox is GPLv2 (and uses tons of open source code from other projects like FAAD).  I realize it can be difficult to immediately provide source code for every single binary you make, but you have been putting up multiple versions, a website, etc so now would be a good time to provide source as well.

In my experience, ports that are not subject to regular code review tend to be quite painful to merge, or in some cases end up abandoned.  I strongly encourage you get more people looking at your code before you spend too much time on it, otherwise you may find that it's more work than it should be to get your port merged into the main git tree.

Then, may I kindly know what is the use of the "Frequency" options under "Playback SETTINGS"?

It changes the sampling rate of the playback engine, at least assuming the hardware and drivers support it.

Great to see another fellow Bangladeshi here.
Regarding the rattling, it is either the battery or the "prev" and "next" keys, or both. You can open the x3 with a mini hex key and put a LITTLE bit of silicone in the battery compartment and around the keys to stop the ratting.

My rattle is coming from the lock slider on the left, thats chill cant be bothered about it.

Yo ! Fellow bangladeshi !

This is the up/downsampling frequency.
To have a minimum oversampling, select the frequency with which you have the largest number of records.
Both have a minimum error rate on X3 now.
FIRST THING FIRST,XVORTEX:THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!
However,i got a problem with installating the rockbox port
I followed your instructions by putting the 2 folders on my memory card, one unpacked, the other no,when i do the update on the player it says NO FILES TO UPDATE
i have my card in fat 32,i tried several times, always the same messaage
Do you know what i should do?
Thank you

After being away from the forums for a bit, looks like Rockbox made it's way to Xduoo x3. Is this a public release for anyone to download? Would gladly donate to the dev responsible.

Either way well done and thank you
