XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

The reasons are not at all obvious. We need to be clear that we're asking for the source code of the kernel only, not the UI code that runs on top of it (and would be replaced by Rockbox). If you open the files from the f/w update in a hex editor you’ll see they're littered with GPL markers, so any modified code built on it should by rights be open-sourced as well.

But most importantly, xDuoo need to grasp the fact that provision of a Rockbox port for their player will immeasurably increase its value in the marketplace. The great success of the Sansa Clip (which also had a pitch error) was largely down to the fact that Rockbox was ported to it quite early on.
xduoo is asked several times to respond to requests for fixes and Rockbox, but there's no response. Looks like all attempts to make this a top dap are in vain when the manufacturer doesn't respond to their customers

Hello everyone, 1st post here.
I ve read the whole topic on this dap, still waiting for it. Ordered it knowing about the 44.1 pitch problem because i estimate i wont be able to trace it.
Nevertheless, there is a poll in 1st page which can be used to put some pressure on the manufacturer to release the source code to rockbox. As others mentioned if this dap receives rockbox, its value will double at least. So its a win-win situation both for the users and for the manufacturer.

So please vote on the 1st page, thank you.

I hope the price wont follow suit :p , the only reason im holding back is because of the UI.

UI is perfect unless you want to watch movies on it. Well, it is an dijital audio player right? Simple and easy to navigate between the menus. ;)

Who needs color screen if the sound is great for its real purpose.

I'm talking about the converted to 48 kHz wrote in my first post where I wrote about the problem of slowing down . Should be read carefully .

Yes you said it a million times and we somehow solved that issue by converting to 48khz and are happy owners now so what is your point to say it again? Do you want us to stay away from and sell our X3 because you think it is a garbage? You are well understood my friend and you don't have to repeat it thanks!

I think most voting in the poll understand this (kernel only).  But as you say, what's more important is whether xDuoo understands the impact Rockbox would have on their sales.

I don't know where you got that.  Did you go to the page I linked?

My mistake. Sorry. I got that because I had tried the trial version before and when I downloaded it again, the program said that the trial version had expired. When I followed the link to purchase it showed me pricing that was $25 for non-commercial and $30 for commercial. That was last night. This morning it gave me an option to certify my use was non-commercial and then unlocked the free basic program. Again, My mistake.

Yes you did say the problem could be resolved by resampling at 48 or higher and file size would slightly increase.  But in all honesty your constant trashing of the X3 as "garbage" impuned you as a source to be listened to.

Ez CD audio converter is what I use. It's $40 for a lifetime license that includes lifetime update, but the free trial version is full access for 30 days. Program does anything and everything you need. Rips anything to anything and converts anything to whatever. It's fast and efficient and works great. 30 days is enough time to reconvert everything.
