Wonder if anybody has compared Gryphon Vs Centrance Hifi-M8v2 pls?

I haven't seen these products compared here, but asking about that in the Centrance thread might get you some feedback. Thanks!

After several hours listening Tidal with my Gryphon by the balanced output, my left channel is now almost mute 😢

Firmware 1.43 - > is it the problem?

My IEM are working, so the problem is the Gryphon. On 3.5 output there's no problem.
Is there anything I can do? Factory reset could help? @iFi audio I need help 😅

Thank you!

Edit: I updated the firmware to 1.45, but left channel is still mute on balanced output 😞
Same problem after a factory reset

Edit 2: if can help, it happened when I was enabling xbass/xspace (I don't remember which one, but I was pressing the switch button).
Also the 4.4 line out is mute on left channel.
Anything change if I enable IEMatch/xbass/xspace with xbass in the three different features bass/presence/both

Make sure your 4.4mm cable firmly *clicks* into the jack. I had that issue once and freaked out, then realized the cable wasn't all the way seated. An extra *umph* did the truck. No issues since.

It *clicks*. I put it in and out in order to be sure of it.

@Shape77 Greetings from high Amsterdam _\|/_

This might help. After fully inserted, try to pull out the 4.4 mm jack very slowly out while music playing by about a millimeter.

If I pull my plug 1 mm out, I get both channels playing. I had this problem with my new cable's 4.4 mm male connector. In the end I put a 1 mm thick 'washer made of rubber' at the bottom of the 4.4 mm male jack. Never had the problem again.

Hi! I did this test too, no sound from left channel.

But I already used it for a full week, everyday, with no plug issue.
I was listening Tidal and left channel sounded lower than the right one. So I tried to switch on the xbass/xspace: for a moment both channels worked as usual, then the left one died.

So I think it's not a cable/plug issue.

It's amusing how good the Gryphon sounds with the Atrium given the relatively high impedance driver. I have mostly been using the Gryphon with my IEMs but the pairing with the Atrium has been phenomenal.

Showoff! My Atrium LTD won't be here for a couple of weeks, I'm guessing...

I haven't run it that long on battery power - maybe an hour or two at a clip. I take this with me when I travel and run either my Sennheiser HD-650s or my Focal Clear MG with them. Usually at the hotel room I just plug it in on the nightstand and listen while I'm getting ready for bed.

I used it with my Verite Closed pretty much daily, I was shocked initially how well the Gryphon performs with it too.

How are you liking the Atrium so far, in general?

What kind of battery life are you getting with full size headphones? I’m getting around 3 hours at -35 dB. I think maybe the GTO filter uses battery more.

As far as I know, there isn't to much of a difference unless you are of course blasting it. I still get the as estimated battery life using full sized.

I had both the Gryphon and the TK-2 side-by-side a week back. The TK-2 doesn't look as sleek and has less battery life/no BT connectivity options/hardware EQ etc.

In terms of raw sound, the TK-2 is very good for its price and I think in the class-A mode it outperforms many of its peers. Unfortunately the class-A mode isn't turned on without connecting high impedance loads so that's a nuisance.

Comparing both in class-A mode (with Atrium as the headphones), the Gryphon has wider and deeper stage, with the vocals being better articulated. Macrodynamic punch is similar on both with microdynamics being better on the Gryphon. Bass has better texture on the Gryphon, whereas the TK-2 opts for a leaner bass presentation.

The price difference is pretty steep so I think a lot of it will depend on your use case. I prefer carrying around the Gryphon esp when going to office as a laptop DAC/Amp. The TK-2 is too bulky and flashy for that purpose. Also the BT connectivity, xBass and xSpace are features I regularly found use for to make the presentation more fun. If you value those subtleties, the Gryphon will be a worthwhile upgrade.

Hopefully you'll get it soon. This is one of the best ZMFs till date, I love the spacious presentation and the bass texture.

With high impedance headphones the battery is draining pretty quickly as I'm going closer to -20dB or so. Didn't do an exact measurement but near 3 hours as well (non-GTO filter).

Love the looks and they're pretty comfortable given the substantial weight. In terms of sound, the staging is exceptional among ZMFs. While there are two other headphones near this price category that have "grander" stage (basically HD800S and the Arya 2020) I think the Atrium has a very natural rendition of space that just feels right. I am listening to Coldplay's See You Soon (Live) right now and the audiences cheers and claps can be pinpointed across the stage with actual space between individual "claps", if that makes sense.

The bass is also really well-done, and the vocals are a treat. I do think there is some peak in the presence region that can make some high-pitched guitar riffs sound too up-front but it's not too bothersome in most tracks.

Hopefully I can share more in the final review which is in the works. Also just received the Titan mesh so gotta play around with that as well.
