Yup. 3.5mm SE work well with a few cable i tested. Think I got into the wrong ideal that balanced means better, not neccesary so in this case (campfire).

Currenty ny nobunaga labs 8 core gold plated silver cable hiss slight more than the holocene stock cable. But still manageable to me, i do like the warmer and improve bass for this compare to stock.

Guess nothing is perfect and I have to adapt to it till next setup purchase.

It depends on a product really. Devices internally fully balanced were designed to be used as such to get the best of them, but this doesn't mean that every single headphone/IEM model will enjoy a bal;anced drive. CA's IEMs are sensitive, so going SE is a solid plan if it makes them happier :)

Thanks for your feedback!

Still no answer as to what the current output limit is for the Gryphon.

I calculated ~180mA as per the 1W>32ohms but still haven't got a definitive answer. Is this number even known?

I've asked the question three times now and still no reply. I won't bother after this.

We've seen these questions and rest assured that they were passed on internally, so you'll be informed as soon as we have the answer, thanks!

Are you guys also planning to release a case? Saw that a case was just released for the blu. Would also be great if the Gryphon gets the same love 😄

It would make sense to have one, so who knows :)

Hi guys
so far I am very pleased with my combination of the Gryphon and my Aryas. Unfortunately I have a weird problem. For which I am not sure if the problem is with the DAC or the Qobuz-App.
I am using Android and when I start the Tidal App I get a pop up, asking me to approve USB Usage of the ifi DAC via Tidal. If I accept, I see the right sample frequency in Hz on the Gryphon.
Unfortunately on the Qobuz App I am not receiving the described pop up and therefor can not see the sample frequency on the Gryphon. No matter which song or quality, it is always on PCM 48k. Any suggestions and has someone experienced the same?
Am I then even streaming the Quality described in the App or the one showcased onthe Gryphon?

Thank you guys for any response!

Unfortunately the Qobuz app will not bypass the internal drivers of your phone.
Qobuz as opposed to the Tidal app is not bit perfect and doesn't bypass the src of your phone, so everything will play at 48k.

Is there anyone here who owns and uses the Qudelix-5K? How does it compare with the Gryphon, sound quality wise, without any EQ/sound effects applied?

Thanks a lot for the answer.
It seems so odd to me, to market a streaming app as hi res compatible, if it is not.
Is there a way of bypassing the internal drivers of the phone? I really like Qobuz so far, but this is pretty annoying...
Thanks a lot

It's not Qobiz's fault though, it's a limitation of android and ios devices. If you want the correct sample rate on Qobuz, get UAPP and log into Qobuz there after granting UAPP exclusive access.

It's ~100mA for the unbalanced headphone output, going from iFi's specs page. Their specs can be trusted.

It will be the same for balanced headphone output. More voltage for balanced output gets you higher power output.

So the balanced output would be ~200mA?

But I never saw 100mA anywhere on the specs page, at least I don't think I saw them, hence the question.
