X3 Movie spoiler.

ugh, I was very disappointed, as there was so much potential for more (and it coudl easily have been an hour longer if they actually decided to develop the characters more, like between Logan/Jean, or Magneto's complex relationship with Charles and after he sees Charles die, or Xavier/Juggernaut's relationship as brothers as well). So much wasted potential makes me a sad panda.

Hmm that might not be so bad then, Magneto is a pretty compelling character compared to Wolverine.

Had to see it, but overall a disappointment. Complaints about disjointedness, and lack of character development are spot on.

Special effects are all over the place. The last battle scene, & ending shot of Logan & Jean together was worth the price of admission - just beautifulon the big screen. The bridge scene was pretty cool too. But why can't they make Storm or Magneto fly without looking like they have a pole up their butt?

Halle Barry is gorgeous as usual, but still disappointing as Ororo. I still wish Iman had gotten that part from the beginning. Romijin as Mystique has her (good) moments. But outside of Jackman as Logan (Wolverine), there's not much real passion in this one. He carries the movie.

The second one was way better. Spiderman was better. Heck, Daredevil was better. True be told, Hollywood does a truly sucky job at comicbook adaptations.

Oo, thanks for the tip. I was looking for some good movies to see.

Regarding your spoilers ...
[I think Cyclops is truly dead ... *poof into thin air. Prof X managed to survive because he used his powers to transfer himself into the comatose patient. Now with Magneto ... I feel that the cure is not less effective, but that Magneto is a much more stronger mutant than all the other mutants. Yeah, he got 4 needles stuck into him ... but maybe it's just that he's still a bit stronger than the cure, thus the possibility of the trace of his powers still left in him.] That's what I feel ... not a hardcore comicbook follower but hey, it was an entertaining movie.

See the movie already.

Agreed about Halle Berry as Ororo. Although incredibly beautiful and talented, she doesn't quite capture the sensuality or the leadership capability of her character. The only fresh surprise for me in the new movie was the emergence of the Kitty Pryde character, who originally in the comic was first known as Sprite, then Ariel, then Shadowcat. I still believe Bryan Singer not directing is what was responsible for X3 being an overall disappointment, a genuine fan who kept the first 2 movies very true to the comic, which was very surprising. He quit during pre-production to direct the new Superman movie.

Sorry, assumed you hadn't....Dark Phoenix (in the comic book) basically had unlimited psionic powers. In fact, she actually consumed a whole star system in an issue. It looked to me like she was telekinetically turning people to ash or dust in the movie. So basically she had the same power as Jean Grey, except limitless and unchecked.

She was in Goldeneye, Pierce Brosnan's first outing as James Bond. She played the villain's henchwoman- Xena Oonnatop. Not kidding- she was really good, too.
