These are for sale on ebay right now. They're not even the "vintage" RS1. Seems to be alittle pricey don't you think.

It would be nice if the seller showed pics of the headphone itself and not just the dang box, considering the premium (s)he is asking. With Grados somewhat inconsistent QC, I would like to see how it looks before buying. Hate to pay alot to get a "Late Friday" version.

As to the dark wood, the newer RS-1/2 are actually quite dark. They were produced in a lighter color a couple years ago. Here is my brand new RS-2 along with a MS-Pro from around 2005...

If that was the going price for them, I'd sell my pair in a heartbeat. However, I don't think they're worth nearly that much.

Here in the UK a new RS1 is between £650-£700, which is approx $1200-$1300...

I would pay $800 for either of them. But thats very unlikely to even happen...
