Would you pay $800 for a used slightly older RS1 w/button?

Seems to be alittle pricey don't you think.

The words absurd and ridiculous come to mind after taking a look at that auction. $800 for a $500 headphone?? That seller is fishing for a fool.

He has calculated in the European prices so it just might go to someone over here.

It would be nice if the seller showed pics of the headphone itself and not just the dang box, considering the premium (s)he is asking. With Grados somewhat inconsistent QC, I would like to see how it looks before buying. Hate to pay alot to get a "Late Friday" version.

As to the dark wood, the newer RS-1/2 are actually quite dark. They were produced in a lighter color a couple years ago. Here is my brand new RS-2 along with a MS-Pro from around 2005...

Seeing as how there's a buttoned pair on the sale forums right now for $550, the answer would be "no."

Not a chance!
...even if a new RS1 cost $1,590 (NOK 8,995) over here..

...even a PS1 and HP1 (HP1000)?
I would pay $800 for either of them. But thats very unlikely to even happen...
