Would T5P be a good update of D5000 or totally a different story?

I like my D5000 as being the least "U-shape" model of D2000/D5000/D7000 series. Recently I have a plan to update a top-class close-back pair. I tried TH900 and didn't like its "U-shape" sound. I heard T5P has a balanced sound character with a little shy bass performance. I want to know how weak its bass is and would it be a good replacement of D5000 or totally a different story?

If you are thinking the bass is shy on the T5P it isn't at all. there is bass, but not overwhelmingly a lot of it. it is a comfortable amount, just enough to give punch and clarity to its shape. i would say its slightly forward in bass response. the D5000 i know nothing about but if you are looking for a top class headphone that is closed than the T5P won't disappoint you
