I'm thinking of taking the next step in my pursuit of audiophile goodness and buying a proper DAC/amp. I am currently running my Ultrasones straight out of the PC speaker jack (Realtek HD onboard sound - not a bad sound actually, but I'm sure it can get a lot better). I'm looking at the iBasso D2 (great reviews), but wondering what actual benefit it would provide.
Am I right in thinking that because the Ultrasone 650s don't require a great deal of power to run, the difference in quality from the iBasso would be minimal?
Which leads me onto my next question... I'll probably be upgrading to Sennheiser HD650s later in the year. Would an iBasso D2 run these nicely?
