@rivonlol congrats on another great amp Care to share some insights why you made the switch? I knew few people who did exactly the opposite move so I'm really curious.

Well the main reason is that I basically live in hotels due to my job, so the Niimbus is much more portable for that. Another reason being that the sound signatures are pretty similar, Niimbus just having more detail and WA33 having more punch in the bass.

It’s an awesome amp, just not practical for my situation.

Hey all it’s been awhile… I wanted to ask some suggestion on DAC upgrades coming from
My DirectStream Dac, I need a streaming dac I prefer all-in-one.

Any recommendations with my wa33 elite?

I’ve heard great things about hifi rose 150b, Mola Mola and the Dcs Lina, any suggestions as best bang for the buck upgrade to
My current dac would be fantastic

I’ve been leaning on the Dcs Lina and the rose unit as I love the look and the tech

Your journey is similar to mine. I had the original DSD and when it became no longer capable of being upgraded I made the decision to move on. It is a shame that the DSD MKII requires a second unit for streaming as I hear the MKII is a very worthy successor to the DSD Sr. I very much liked the over the air upgrade capabilities of the DSD and I too wanted a one box solution. My search led me to the dCS Rossini and Word Clock(since upgraded to Apex) to pair with my WA33 EE. Now with the Clock it is no longer a one box solution but if you audition the Lina with and without the Clock you will realize the Clock is essential. The dCS dealer was amazing to work with taking my DSD and Lumin streamer in on trade and delivering my Rossini over 300 miles and across state lines so I did not have to pay sales tax. I was skeptical thinking the Rossini was overkill for a headphone system but the Rossini, Clock and then Apex upgrade took my music to a whole another level.

I can appreciate that, but I’m trying to stay reasonable with cost, we all know how the rabbit whole never ends, I can’t say I have a budget but I can’t justify double the cost for the smallest gain, I want a decently sized jump up but not 20k jump
