Well, just got 'em. Really nice timing from Amazon. 4 days early according to their estimated ship time. Holiday season too! They take up 3/4 of my head (and I have a big head). They're also purple...even though they were supposed to be blue? Nevertheless, just listening to MP3s (yes I know, it's shameful) they sound amazing. All you fellow owners come post your pics, mine are soon to come.

Hopefully this will be moved to Headphones soon.

But yes, I agree. Amazing.

They made me sell my HD580's, K701 and DT880. I just enjoy them a lot more.

The only upgrade from the AD700 is the AD2000.

Sorry about the wrong forum. Question to you ATH AD700 owners: They are putting a lot of pressure on my jaw bone...does that loosen up a bit?

I use mine as my main headphones and I'm perfectly happy with them.
Sure the bass could be deeper but all in all I'm very happy with the sound, not to mention the comfort!.

I have no plans on upgrading and if I ever do it's very possible that I go for a pair of AD2000 or some other Audio Technica phones.

Well...
1. Why is this in the Members forum?
2. Where are the [56k BEWARE] content?

I voted "meh. disappointing" But that is in reference to this thread and the lack of 56K beware content.

Thanks to you, this cat is going to kill himself

One of the most ultimate gaming headphones ever tbh. Crazy good for that. It reaks of value and more value. I like my '03 DT880's more though due to me liking details.

And yes, the AD700's do have bass and good bass at that if paired with a bassy source. It's fast (but not the fastest I've heard, that would go to the Denon c551's) and punchy but lacks depth in the bass department.

Both my '03 DT880's and my AD700's lack bass but the bass in my DT880's has more impact in the bass than the AD700's.
Also the AD700's do colour the sound a bit.

Dear Santa,

What I would like for Christmas is a better exchange rate so I can upgrade to a better amp.
I've been a good boy this year.
