I would think anodising it or powder coating it would be your best bet. But then you would have to get the metal out of the headband.

I have looked on ebay, but they are considerably more expensive than pricejapan, to a point where i think the difference of paying customs is negligible.

Pricejapan seems popular here, was just looking for a bit of assurance i guess. Going to use my CC so will be covered.

Im itching to get a pair of these, is pricejapan a reliable website? It's the cheapest place to england. Also, do people recommend either DHL or EMS delivery?

Cheers

I've had only posetive experiences with pricejapan the couple of times I've dealt with them

Some have suggested getting rid of the 2 tabs that prevent the cups from turning all the way so you can have them flat with the openings facing your chest when around the neck.

How

And are they not part of the swivel mechanism?

It is just a small plastic protution that stops the cups from rotating much more than 10 degrees past centre. I think they just filed it away but I'm not going to try as I don't use mine portable.

I read through much of this thread, but I don't believe anyone has found out definitively if you can purchase just the pads of the ESW9... ?

I contacted Audiocubes and they said they don't carry just the pads.

Any ideas?

I like the look of them, reminds me of the DX1000's!

Best i've seen is $268 or so shipped to the US from PriceJapan for new. Used seems to be around $240-250.

There's a pair for sale for local pick up in London for £100.

Well that sucks. Just called Audio Technica US parts line and they said they don't stock the pads, nor any of the parts for the ESW9. He said I would have to get them direct from Japan.

Was just looking at Audiocubes and noticed the ATH-ESW10JPN. Anyone tried these out yet? Sorry if this has already been addressed... I skipped to the end of the thread after page 25.

Has anyone done this? Does the swivel mechanism still have the same amount of 'tightness' to it?
