Recently I've been spending a lot of time at my computer listening to music through my Schiit Fulla 2. Over the holiday break I got to thinking how nice it would be to have the case covered in a nice wooden case. Because it has that nice metal volume control, I find myself mindlessly putting my hand on it. That's what prompted the idea

To that end, I designed one to be cut out with a CNC machine. I thought I would share images of it. I'm having it 3D printed to make sure it has a nice fit and finish before cutting wood. I've attached a rendering of it. Please let me know what you think.

I would consider you'll need to sand it before finishing, assuming you want to put a nice finish on it.
To this end, maybe just make a vent hole without the bars?

The holes/slots in the end might also be hard to sand/finish.

It’s my understanding from talking to Schiit that the holes are decorative in nature, not ventilation.

Oh ok, so that's good. I'm also curious what kind of wood you'll use. The grain in the rendering really adds to the look.

The first run is going to be in Koa wood. I plan to use walnut and cherry too.
