I have the opportunity to buy a Grado RS1i at a great discount price but have absolutly no clue on which amp ss or valve to partner it with. I have heard the RS1i with a Black Cube Linear but my gut feeling was it did not synergies too great, it sounded very good just not exceptional. I've read Woo Audio's amps synergise great with Grado's especially the GS1000i. Has anybody heard the RS1i with say the WA 6 SE or WA2?

Any advice greatly appreciated, regards Danny

The high impedance setting is better with the relatively low impedance RS-1's? This I would have to hear to believe. Why do you think this may be the case, flaming_june?

I have a pair of RS1's and matched it up with a Cavalli Compact Tube Hybrid (CTH) and it sounds very nice. Wonder how my grados would sound with the woo audio thou

I wasn't crazy about my HF-2/WA6 combo that I had a few months back. I felt the Woo was too slow for the Grados. What type of music do you listen to?

Cus I've tried it

Btw, currently I'm listening to Audioslave, Queen, Eminem and some top 40 pop music.

Edit, Btw again, piano, classical music sounds absolutely amazing on the wa6 and rs1 combo.
