Well I just had to chime in hear. I have had a WA6 driving my AKG K701 headphone for about 9 months now. This is one piece of gear I just love. The build quality is impeccable. The sound quality first rate. I really don't believe one could get a better amp for twice the price. Truly an audio bargin! here are some pics.

Does anyone know what caps are used in the stock WA6 and is it "really" necessary to have the upgraded parts, or would I be happy with the stock amp using Senn HD-600's with rock and full size c.d. player (Copland CDA-822) Thanks and I didn't want to start a new thread, so pardon my hijack! You might be totally happy. They are just regular electrolytic caps for the power supply. I would at least get the coupling cap from the driver to the power section of the tube upgraded as the signal travel directly through this cap.
