I love my LD Mk111, so far used only with the stock tubes, and now I'm trying to tailor it a bit to the rest of my system.
I use the beautifully clear Jungson JA99C, a brilliant amp that HiFi World recommends but described as "not famously warm" into self built World Audio design speakers. Again, beautifully clear but tending to be dry. The problem is obvious, a gorgeous forensic sound but one sacrificing fun for detail on much cd material and only really shining with older analogue mastered material. I want to push the balance more in the liquid and warm direction while not sacrificing the clear and detailed sound that I also love. I listen to a lot of vocal material, both male and female, plus light jazz and MOR rock/pop. I DON'T want more bass, lean tight and tuneful describes my tastes in the lower frequencies. The EF92s have had a bit of good press and the price is right - will they push my setup in the right direction?

Thanks,
