Hi guys, I just joined... my apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place!
I know there is much hate for gamer headsets.... but I'm hoping someone who has experience can help me pick one out:
a) I NEED wireless. I've tripped over my old wired headset cable so many times I've damaged 2/4 USB ports on my laptop (1 broken, 1 finicky). Pets chewing cord is also a risk.
b) Sadly my laptop does not have bluetooth, so I'm guessing I'd need radio frequency?
c) Due to the shortage of working USB ports, I'd prefer having mic+headphones combined. I'd rather not have to tote around a USB hub and separate components all the time when I travel daily with my 17" gaming laptop.
d) I'm not to fussy on sound...I don't play FPSs so "surround sound" not a big deal. Main games I play are League of Legends and Guild Wars 2.
e) my budget is maxed out at ~150, though preferable I'd like to pay less.
f) I only care about PC platform use; ie won't be used with XBOX 360 or PS3
Some headphones I've been looking at/reading reviews on are the logitech g930 ($114), corsair vengeance 2000($105), turtle beach px3 and Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Gaming Headset ($80), logitech h760 ($51 ebay) [sale prices before tax]
Can anyone give me a recommendation, or alternative I haven't thought of?
Thanks for your help in advance!
