Agreed, I wouldn't mind hearing the HD800 on the Peak/Volcano as well.  I also got my Nuwave DAC in yesterday

I'll have a similar number of HD tracks, as well.  I'll put these on a 64gb USB3 -- always best to hear familiar music on other gear.  Might be worth putting the same tunes on multiple USBs for AB testing.  This could be a lot of fun.  -- John

I'm using the Peak with a Sylvania 6SN7GT.  It will be interesting to hear how it sounds with the HD800.

I actually drove all the way to Charlotte last year for a meet.  This time though, it's actually directly on the way to a trip I'm taking to Michigan to pick up my Wife and Daughter from visiting their family up there.

Absolutely.  I spoke with another member who has the Arete/Volcano with HD800 and also has the SA-31 amp that I have and he prefers the Arete/Volcano with the HD800 so it should be interesting to hear the pairing.  I really like my amp but since upgrading my source, it may be the weak link.  
 
I really need to send DannyB a PM to see if he is interested in coming.  I gotta hear that Moth 2A3 with the HD800.  I figure that might give me at least an idea of the Eddie Current gear that I read so recommended with the HD800.

I talked to Danny maybe a month ago and he said he had something work related on that day. I can't imagine the 800s would sound anything short of great with that moth amp though.

I will not be making it to Winston-Salem, unfortunately, as I will need to be in Seattle for 3 weeks across the scheduled date. I will be watching gatherings in the future to see if I can attend one.
