My very first integrated amplifier and first foray into audio was the Arcam Alpha 5 integrated amplifier in 1994. i liked it so much that eventually I upgraded to a used Arcam FMJ A22 integrated amplifier in 2004. Arcam makes great stuff. And I like their sound. Even though I have now moved on, I still have extremely fond memories of their products. I think you’ll enjoy your A25 for many years to come.

Yeah, I'm quite impressed. This is actually my second Arcam in just a couple of months. I bought the A15 to feed Kef LS50 Meta in a new study/desk rig, and liked it so much I grabbed the A25 for the living room.

The class G in the higher-level A25 is really very, very good... It's more compact, cooler running, AND more powerful than it's stablemate. Not sure how the internal DAC stacks up versus high end gear, but I'm definitely not missing anything that the old gamma2 brought to the table.

Been a bit since I've been involved here, but I recently got an Aurorus Audio Australis that I'm enjoying quite a bit.

Dude, you've missed a whole bunch of meetups! Glad to see you're still around though. What are you feeding the Australis with?

I've been seeing them!! Just been crazy busy with university + work lol, hope I can make it out to one soon. Feeding the Australis with a MOTU M2 + Singxer SA-1 right now, kind of feel like the pairing isn't ideal but it's been really surprising me with just how good it sounds for a closed back.

@-iKa- lives! We all assumed you moved far away lol.
Still here!! I may have also forgot my password and was a little too lazy to reset it for a while..

If anyone is looking to splurge big on some excellent used speakers, Long & McQuade (Pembina) has some used Focal Trio11's at a crazy good deal:
https://www.long-mcquade.com/instore_stock/705575/
Normal price $5.4k each, sale price $3.5k each, and sometimes you can haggle down a bit more.
They are active, reach down to 30Hz, and you can rotate the tweeter/mid assembly for vertical or horizontal speaker placement.

Yep, those are mine! If anyone here is interested, let me know. I'm going to post them on here once I'm able to (I hadn't enabled 2FA and now there's a delay for me to post an ad.) I'll also be selling a Questyle M15, a Fiio K9 ESS, and a Cavalli Liquid Gold X once I get around to taking pictures of them.

Packages coming up usually only take a day or so, unless it gets flagged. Which carrier did you use?

Sending things down to the US usually doesn't have any delay at all.

Hey guys. I'd like your feedback on a current selling issue that came up. I sold and shipped my E3s to someone in the USA via Canada Post, and the tracking stopped at "released by US customs". I opened an investigation with Canada Post and they said they'd provide a response by Mar 19.

The parcel was only insured for $200 as the buyer didn't indicate they wanted to add insurance. To my knowledge, the buyer assumes responsibility for the shipped item, but the buyer insists that the seller does. I offered to refund half so that we can split the loss, but he's demanding that I refund the full amount on the basis that I'm responsible for the items delivery. Keep in mind, the parcel is not officially marked as lost, but since there's been no update since Feb 7, I don't have high hopes it'll start moving again.

Since the purchase was made with PayPal, I expect they'll side with the buyer, but I'm curious if any of you have had similar situations buying and selling across the border. In particular I know @Armaegis you said you don't like to do cross-border transactions due to complications that arise, and I'm guessing you meant situations like this!

You don't need to tell me add full insurance this time -- I've learned that lesson either way. But I'd welcome hearing about your experiences!

Be patient. I expect it is a crap show down there, so wait another week before giving up hope on the delivery.
The buyer already opened a claim against me in PayPal, and Canada Posts investigation timeline is ridiculously slow - they said they'll reply sometime between Mar 5 and Mar 19, but PayPal requires proof of delivery or a refund by then. I definitely don't recommend selling across the border after this!
Also, if it's the case with PayPal that the seller is liable for the parcel until delivery, regardless of the situation, then I'll post it somewhere here for posterity. I couldn't find any official documentation to that effect and have read conflicting things about seller liability for lost parcels.
I'm still hoping it turns up but it's not looking good at this point :(
