Will This Be Called The Westone "Epic" Tip?

I'll definitely wear these over Comply I think. Comply tips are good, but kind of annoying.

Well it comes down to comfort and seal for me and for some reason I've always had a tough time with silicon tips

Me too.  For me, most silcone tips....
 

1. had a sweet spot you had to hit (not too far and not too shallow).
2. sucked a little midrange out and was generally a bit less cohesive sounding.
3. bass always seemed slightly less than a foam type tip.
4. prone to siblance.

 
I don't exhibit any of these drawbacks with these tips.  Ii know everyone is a bit different but I'd be surprised if anyone had a problem with these.  While this will hurt their UM56 business they should sell a ton of these.

These look nice, but it's a shame that the nozzle seems too narrow for the 900's. I've always preffered silicon over comply up until very recently. The one problem I have with the comply foam is that i feel like some of the treble and midrange sounds like they  are being muffled compared to the silicon's.  The drawback of course is that silicon makes my ears itch like crazy.

I got my w4s just over a month ago, and I didn't get these!! €&&@!!

So we'll have to be patient, but it seems that the guys over at W finally listened... My latest mod is the trimmed- tip long grey comply that came with the pack, as suggested at the other thread... Not bad, but not these...

Any news on possible release dates? Being in Europe condemns me to longer waits I suppose, unless these hit amazon...

ClieOS - It's pretty thin and piable.  IN FACT:  I just inverted a flange inside out and noticed that there are vertical striations (about 8 or 10 per tip) that aid in the tip conforming to your ear canal.  I will try to post a pic later.  Apparently some real thought went into these and me thinks they will have a patent on this feature.  This tips are shipping out with new product but not available as accesory until early 2013.

That can also be an issue when you are simply between sizes on some brands of silicone tips.  I can get hybrids to fit better than my son can, for example, but Skullcandy tips fit him better.

I got my hands on those tips and used them with the W4. I used the ones without color painted on the bottom of the stem. They open up the sound and provides a significantly taller soundstage. The treble sounds slightly brighter, and has more sparkle.  The music also more room to breath.
 
The biggest change is with the W3. On top of what I stated above, there is more noticeable forward mids and less midbass but bass impact remains the same.

I have been struggling for a while with tips for Westone (2,4,UM2RC,UM3X) and Shure (SE535LTD, SE215). First I tried the triple flanges trimmed to 2 flanges. They sounded OK and sealed, but wouldn't stay put. Then I tried the PFE Audeo tips and the sealed well and stayed put, but didn't really sound great.  Then today, I received a Westone 3 package in the mail from Earphone Solutions (thanks for the 25% coupon) and included were the new tips. In short, they are amazing. They fit, stay in, seal, sound great and are comfortable. Now, I need to order 6 more pairs for the rest of my Westones and Shures.

That's the exact ones I am wearing too.  Would love to had these with UM3X and W3.
